Twenty years have already passed since Grupsa System began working on the first skyscraper built in Spain in 1987: Picasso Tower in Madrid, which has a population of 6.000 people, receives 1.500 visits per day at its 121.000 sq metres, divided into 157 m height and 51 floors, totalling 837 parking spaces, more than 20.000 points of light, 10.000 direct phone lines and 26 lifts.
Grupsa System joined this important project of the American architect Minoru Yamasaki of Japanese origin in 1987, who designed the World Trade Center in New York and died in 1986, year when the construction of Picasso Tower began under the direction of Genaro Alas, ending in just 2 years, in which Grupsa System installed 208 Manual doors MS-600 in copper, brass and stainless steel, in addition to tens of meters of handrails and ceiling of elevators in Stainless Steel. Picasso Tower is the tallest building in Madrid until the upcoming inauguration of the 4 Towers Business Area in Madrid, where Grupsa System participates, nowadays, in 2 of the 4 towers under construction.
