Grupsa has participated in the Prado Museum extension in Madrid, designed by the prestigious architect Rafael Moneo, with the manufacturing and installation of manual doors and screens of brass, as well as lighting in the chapel. This extension represents an increase of 15,715.27 m2 achieved through the construction of a new building around the remains of the JerÑnimos cloister that connects with Villanueva building. The increase in surface area obtained by the Prado Museum, thanks to this intervention is more than 50% compared to 28,600 m2 for the Villanueva building. Furthermore, with the transfer of certain services and Museum work units to new spaces, the Villanueva building recover almost 3,000 m2 useful for displaying the permanent collection of the Prado, allowing the development of a new management system of collections
