On October 6th has been inaugurated the Convention Center «27 de enero» of Lima. The National Library, Grand Theatre of Lima and the National Museum, are now accompanied by this megaproject. Located in the city center the new Convention Center has 1,800 square metres, it has 18 rooms, 4 floors auditorium and capacity to accommodate nearly ten thousand people. The project was presented in 2012, but it was not until April 2014 when its construction began, beating a record of 16 months until his inauguration. It was built by COSAPI and designed by Arquitectonica, signature of renowned architect Bernardo Fort Brescia. It is in this great project where Grupsa has involved providing opening systems. In total, five revolving doors RS-100 model have been installed with automatic equipment at the main entrances to the building. The range Rotary System by Grupsa is designed for installations with high traffic of people. Certainly Revolving Doors attenuate the noise, reduce the ingress of dirt from the environment and due to the thermal isolation favour the energy savings. Revolving doors are the ideal solution to prevent air draughts in buildings with great height in the main entrance hall. The RS-100 model also includes the break-out system that allows folding the door leaves on the egress direction, leaving an entire aisle to the crosswalk for exit or summer position. The public entrances to the new Convention Center Lima are ensured and safeguard the comfort and safety of pedestrians and building efficiency. Additionally automatic sliding doors AS-300 by Grupsa with special dimensions and transparent design has been installed in the restaurant and service area of the Centre. The Convention Center «27 de enero» is a stunning piece of infrastructure that will make Peru an international benchmark for major international events. Upon opening, from 5 to 12 October, it has hosted the Annual Meetings of the World Bank Group (WBG) and International Monetary Fund (IMF). Image: Convention Center Lima Contact: news@grupsa.com
